CONGRES DE LA SOCIETE FRANCAISE DE CHIRURGIE DE LA HANCHE ET DU GENOU
Editorial – SFHG Annual Congress, Nantes, March 26–28, 2026
Dear colleagues,
Following the success of the Lille and Strasbourg editions, marked by ever-increasing and enthusiastic participation, we are pleased to invite you to Nantes, former capital of the Dukes of Brittany, from March 26 to 28, 2026, for the next annual congress of the French Hip and Knee Society (SFHG).
The conference will take place at the Nantes Convention Center, in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from the Château des Ducs de Bretagne and the banks of the Loire River. This prime location will offer participants a historic, dynamic, and welcoming setting, reflecting the appeal of a modern, forward-looking metropolis.
This event is part of the ongoing rejuvenation and openness of our society, which has been welcoming a new generation of dynamic members for several years. It illustrates the vitality of our community and affirms, more than ever, the international outlook of the SFHG.
The scientific program will highlight a major topical issue: degenerative pathologies of the hip and knee in young patients and athletes. This is a growing issue in our practices, with increasingly younger and more demanding patients, particularly attentive to the functional and sporting results of our surgical treatments.
As in previous editions, plenty of space will also be given to interactive discussions around clinical cases, providing privileged moments for exchanges between colleagues and a source of collective enrichment.
We will also have the honor of welcoming leading learned societies, ESSKA, EKA, and EHPA, strengthening the international dimension of our exchanges. To foster this openness, the conference will offer simultaneous translation into English as well as bilingual sessions (French/English).
We invite you to reserve your dates now and join us in large numbers in Nantes for a 2026 edition that promises to be scientifically rich, interactive, internationally open, and marked by the conviviality that is the strength of the SFHG.
Best regards,
The organizing committee:
Dr Guillaume Demey – Dr Jean-Marie Philippeau – Pr Nicolas Reina
and the SFHG Board of Directors
