The Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureau is a neutral gateway for business events in the destination, making it easy to plan your professional event.
The Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureau was created in September 2015. As part of Nantes Saint-Nazaire Développement, the local economic development agency, the Convention Bureau's mission is to develop the business tourism sector in the region. Each year, our destination hosts over 130 conventions, some fifty trade fairs and more than 160,000 attendee days. Thanks to our strong performance in the business tourism sector, we ranked 99th in the world in the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association) 2021 ranking.
Since the beginning in 2015, the Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureau has focused on 4 main missions:
- Promote the region as a business event destination for professional event planners,
- Serve as a neutral gateway to the destination for all professional event planners and provide objective and free advice on the region's event resources,
- Guarantee premium hospitality for all professional events held in the region,
- Unite the entire event community (hoteliers, venue operators, event caterers, event agencies and service providers) through our network of members.

Partners and governance
The Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureau is a regional agency that develops the business tourism sector in the destination. Our action is monitored by all the local stakeholders in the sector via different types of governance (political, strategic and technical).
Nantes Métropole comprises 24 towns in the Nantes metropolitan area.
Carene comprises 10 towns in the Saint-Nazaire area.
A large metropolitan facility, La Cité Nantes Events Center hosts many cultural and professional events in the area.
A large metropolitan facility, Exponantes hosts the region's biggest events: trade fairs, conventions and business meetings, sporting events, etc.
As a tourist organisation in charge of promoting the Nantes Métropole destination via culture, the Voyage à Nantes is a key business tourism stakeholder in the region.
The Eco-Events Network (Reeve), a non-profit association, works closely with the events industry community to combat climate change.
The Nantes St-Nazaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports the growth of local businesses.
The Nantes and Saint-Nazaire Convention Bureau has 4 permanent staffers, a network of institutional partners and also a network of private businesses in the event industry, who are members of the Convention Bureau. The Convention Bureau network currently comprises 70 organisations, each of which is a link in the event chain (hotels, private venues, event caterers, event agencies, incentive agencies, event service providers). Each of these organisations has been selected by the Convention Bureau, which guarantees that they are qualified businesses and that you will get premium quality service.
